Claude W. Ahrens has truly set a philanthropic example to all. “Leave It
Better Than You Found It” is the motto of the Claude W. and Dolly Ahrens
Foundation. Through this foundation, the Ahrens Park Foundation, the
Claude W. Ahrens Charitable Trust, the Dolly Ahrens Achievement
Scholarship Trust and his personal giving, Claude has granted over eighteen
million dollars to many worthwhile organizations and projects within the
state of Iowa, especially to his native city of Grinnell.
